Ask your documentsanything.
Upload PDFs, Word files, or text. Ask in a chat. Get answers grounded in what you uploaded — with the source in view.
How AskDocs works
The loop is intentionally small. You bring the documents, AskDocs turns them into a conversation you can actually use — without turning into another all-in-one workspace.
- Step 01
Upload what you already have
Attach PDFs, Word docs, Markdown, CSV, and other common formats to a chat. Keep related files together when a question spans more than one document.
- Step 02
Ask in plain language
Type the question you would ask a colleague: summarize a section, compare two clauses, pull dates, find who owns a decision, or explain a dense paragraph.
- Step 03
Read answers with sources
Responses stay grounded in the files you attached. Source pointers help you jump back to the original page or section instead of trusting a black box.
Built for real document questions
People do not open AskDocs to browse a library. They open it because something in a file is unclear, buried, or too long to skim. These are the kinds of jobs it is meant for.
Reports and research
Paste a long PDF and ask for the thesis, risks, numbers, or open questions — then follow up without re-reading the whole file.
Contracts and policies
Ask where liability sits, what a notice period is, or whether two documents contradict each other. Keep the clause reference in view.
Notes and meetings
Turn messy notes into decisions, owners, and next steps. Ask what was deferred, who promised what, and what still needs an answer.
Spreadsheets and exports
Upload CSVs or exported tables and ask for trends, outliers, or a plain-English readout of a column you do not want to filter by hand.
Bring the files you already use
AskDocs is format-tolerant on purpose. Start with whatever is already on your drive — you should not need a special export step just to ask a question. Attach multiple files when the answer lives across documents.
Attachments stay scoped to the chat you are in, so each conversation can carry its own set of sources without mixing contexts.
